HAT CARE

HANDLING YOUR HAT

Always handle your hat with care and clean hands. Pick it up by the brim and position it by handling the crown gently In the case of a fascinator, you can manoeuvre it into position by gently holding the headband or by the edge if it is mounted on a comb or elastic.

WEATHER

It is very important to keep your hat dry. Straws, felts and fabrics can lose their shape and are likely to be damaged if they get wet. If rain is forecast, it is best to ensure you have an umbrella handy! If your hat does accidentally get wet, do not put it on a radiator or other source of heat but leave it to dry naturally to help it keep its shape.

STORAGE

Store your headpiece in the original EVM hat box and packaging. This will help protect it from accidental damage, keep it clean from dust and prevent sun bleaching.

In the event of any dust accumulation, you can use a soft bristle brush or lint roller.

For trims such as ribbons, flowers or feathers, you can use a hairdryer on a low and cool setting to remove any dust.

Never wet or dry clean your hat.
